Lorie Webb

My name is Lorie Webb and I have been home schooling for 6 years. My children areRachael (18), Hannah (13), Daniel (10), and my grandchild Kaydence (2). I have been married to my childhood sweetheart, Ricki, for 22 years. We both grew up within 5 miles of the house in which we now live, and both graduated from Douglas County High School, as did our parents. My journey with home schooling began when I was not satisfied with the education my children were receiving in public school. We have no public school horror stories. I just felt my kids were getting lost in the system, and I missed my kids desperately. I came to dread their leaving in the morning. I was even checking them out early almost every day to bring them home. I spoke with my dear friend, Katy Sanders, about her experience with keeping her kids at home and I was hooked. I thank God for bringing me to this decision and for bringing Katy to me just when I needed her.My dear sisters at WWCHE have truly been a life line for me. I have grown in Christ so much from being around them. I have been through some of the hardest experiences of my life with the help of my Christian sisters. I have also felt the very presence of God while worshipping with them. My prayer is that I can learn to serve Christ more, by serving you. If I can give back a small percentage to this group, all for Christ's glory, I will feel that God has worked through me.
