Dwayne and Angie Terry

My name is Angie Terry and I love Jesus with all my heart.  He is my best friend AND my Savior!  I have been blissfully married to Dwayne, my main squeeze, for 18 years.  God has blessed us with our two precious boys, Luke, age 12 and Joshua, age 9.  My three boys are the joy of my life. J

Dwayne and I pastor Spirit Life Church in Powder Springs.  We have been part of this church family for 18 years.  I also minister to the children of our church each week.  I believe that God is raising up a generation of young people who are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ…children who will be bold for Him and win others to the Kingdom of God.

I am so grateful to the Lord for giving me the privilege to homeschool my two gifts from heaven.  I taught in Douglas County until we had Luke and Joshua.  Dwayne and I knew that God had called us to teach our boys from home.  God has used homeschooling not only to draw us closer together as a family, but also to draw me closer to Him.  In Him is my trust, my strength, my hope, my life.  Without Him I would be unable to fulfill these callings of wife, mother, and teacher.   I have homeschooled for the past 8 years.  With each year, the Lord teaches me new things, molds me, and shapes me in ways that are sometimes NOT comfy, but oh, so rewarding!

Folks often ask me how long I plan on homeschooling my boys.  I reply with a smile, “Until Jesus tells me differently.”  Dwayne and I trust Him to guide our every step.  We know He orders our steps, and He will victoriously see us through these wonderful, yet sometimes trying, years of homeschooling.   There is no circumstance or situation in life that can ever surprise God or knock Him off His throne.  I’ve been known to say from time to time, “Jesus is still on the throne.”   That is a truth that sustains my every breath.

I am forever grateful to the Lord for giving me eternal life in Him and for calling me to travel this path called ‘homeschooling.’
